Jennie Foley is a student, teacher, and USM alum. She is fiercely dedicated to the practice of yoga and firmly believes in the power of yoga as medicine. She is thrilled and honored to share this sacred practice with USM students. Jennie's classes utilize meditation, breath work, visualization, and posture to strengthen the physical body, improve flexibility, build balance, reduce anxiety, and increase confidence.  Jennie aims to teach yoga that is accessible, safe, and judgement-free. Her USM classes also include basic yogic philosophy and universal spiritual teachings.  She attributes her knowledge to her magnificent teachers. In 2011, Jennie took her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Kate McGown in Saint Paul, Minnesota. In 2013, Jennie trained in Rasamaya Yoga, Barre, and Intelligent movement with founder Carrie Tyler. Jennie has also been trained in Addiction Recovery Yoga with Niki Meyers, Yin Yoga and Meditation with Sagel Urlacher, LifeForce Yoga for Anxiety and Depression, and EBT Yoga for Body Image Improvement with Chelsea Rolf. Jennie obtained her BA in Psychology and Holistic Health in 2015 from the University of Southern Maine and is a Reiki II practitioner. Jennie is currently tackling her 500 yoga teacher training at Kripalu School of Yoga and is becoming a Reiki III practitioner and teacher through Arcana Healing Arts. Her greatest teachers are, however, her students.  She hopes you will join her in the spiritual, somatic journey that is yoga.
