USM Student Awarded Carl Nelson Athletic Training Student Scholarship

Tara Moore, a senior in the University of Southern Maine’s Athletic Training Education Program has been awarded the Carl Nelson Athletic Training Student Scholarship for the 2012/2013 academic year.  This scholarship is awarded to a student member of the Maine Athletic Trainers’ Association on behalf of District One of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA).  In addition to being a member of the NATA, students selected for this award have distinguished themselves academically, have completed two or more years of clinical work as an athletic training student, and are dedicated to the athletic training profession.  Tara is currently completing her capstone internship experience at the University of Auburn and has accepted a full Graduate Assistantship at the University of Alabama where she will pursue a Masters Degree in Athletic Training.
