Diane Fisher, PhD has taught Writing and Literature in universities, community college, and high schools in four states. The USM English Department hired her in Fall 2007 to teach College Writing and Introduction to Literature courses. This semester she also is teaching "Thinking and Writing 100" in the Honors Program and is a member of the Honors Council. She received her B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of New Orleans, her PhD from the University of Tennessee, and her J.D. degree from the Nashville School of Law. She is a former attorney who worked primarily in the Mental Health and Brokerage/ Securities areas in Nashville and in New Orleans.
