Jane Kuenz, Professor of English, joined the Department of English at the University of Southern Maine in 1995. She holds a BA in English and Political Science (Spring Hill College), an MFA in Creative Writing (University of Alabama), and a Ph.D. in English (Duke University). A past Chair of the English Department, she serves now as Associate Dean of the School of Business. Her published research on American literature, African-American literature and cultural studies includes Strip Cultures: Finding America in Las Vegas and Inside the Mouse: Work and Play at Disney World and essays in Modernism/Modernity, Cultural Critique, Yale Journal of Criticism, African American Review, South Atlantic Quarterly.
