Jane Martin earned an M.F.A. in creative writing from the University of Michigan, where she received two Hopwood Awards for her work. In addition, she earned an M.A. in dramatic literature from Tufts University. She was a Fulbright scholar at McGill University in Montréal, where she researched her Québécois heritage; and was also the recipient of a creative writing grant from the Conseil des Arts et des lettres du Québec. Her stories and essays have appeared in the Southern Review, the Michigan Quarterly Review, The Massachusetts Review, Confrontation, and other publications.
