Profile
Laima Vince Sruoginis is the recipient of two Fulbright grants and a National Endowment for the Arts grant in Literature. She has written four works of literary nonfiction: The Snake in the Vodka Bottle, Journey into the Backwaters of the Heart, Lenin's Head on a Platter, and Digging a Hole to China: A Memoir on Teaching and Traveling. She has written one novel, This is Not My Sky, and has written six plays, which have been performed in Europe, Hong Kong, and the United States. Laima Vince Sruoginis is also well-known and widely published as a literary translator from Lithuanian into English.
