Profile
Lisa Walker joined USM in 1995 and, since the fall of 2019, is the Associate Dean in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. Prior to this, she was the Director of the Women and Gender Studies Program from 2015-2018. She has published on models of minority sexual identities in her book Looking Like What You Are: Sexual Style, Race and Lesbian Identity (2001), and essays in Sexualities, Signs, and Tulsa Studies in Women’s Literature. Her research interests include femininity, fashion theory, and beauty culture in American literature.
