Academic advising is an important element of your success as a student. All of us in the Engineering Department take advising seriously so as to help you take full advantage of our course offerings, navigate university processes, and find needed resources, with the ultimate goal of your successful and timely degree completion.
You are encouraged to consult with your advisor at any time. At a minimum, you should consult with your advisor each semester before pre-registering for the next semester to ensure that all degree requirements are being addressed. Your advisor is the chief point person and advocate for you. Whenever you are unsure about what you should do, contact your advisor or the administrative assistant for guidance.
Each student in the department is automatically assigned an advisor upon declaring their major or minor.
If you are a new student or need assistance in finding your advisor, contact the office at (207) 780-5287 or visit us at 149 John Mitchell Center, Gorham Campus.
