STEM Scholarship Recipients Named at USM
The University of Southern Maine has named its 2012-2013 recipients of the National Science Foundation STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Scholarships.

Mechanical Engineering Student Featured in Biofuels Article
Matt Pemberton, a senior in USM's Mechanical Engineering program, is chief operating office for Maine Standard Biofeuls. Pemberton and Maine Standard Biofeuls, Maine's only commercial biodiesel plant, were featured in a Portland Press Herald article regarding a tax incentive meant to boost production of biofeuls this year.

NEW COURSE ANNOUNCMENT FOR FALL 2012
Starting Fall 2012, the Engineering Department is now offering a series of 1 credit Engineering Tools courses in Mathematica and Solidworks.
