As of 4/27/15 the physical rekeying of buildings on the Portland campus has begun! Detailed information in the form of FAQ’s is available at the end of this message. This project is very large in scale and has taken a lot of time and effort to plan. We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this transition. Please be sure to contact Facilities if you have additional questions.
The University Driver Approval process has changed. Moving forward there is a new form to be completed to become authorized as a University driver. We have also developed a flow chart for the driver approval process and updated the Motor Pool Request form.
The Winter season is fully upon us here at USM and each storm presents changes in conditions around campus. Please know that the Facilities Management staff are doing our best to stay on top of campus conditions and keep campuses maintained.
The Facilities Management department is in the process of implementing a new integrated work management system on campus. The MP2 Weblink system is no longer functional. While we work out the details of how this system will be used please process any work requests you would normally submit on-line via e-mail to Fixit@usm.maine.edu.
The Campus Re-Key Project is currently under way- as part of the process each individual employee will need to submit a Re-Key Project Key Request form. If you have not already done so, please submit as soon as possible. Click for more details.

University of Southern Maine Assistant Director for Sustainable Programs Tyler Kidder and Resource Recovery Supervisor Steve Sweeney were chosen to receive the 2013 Community eco-Excellence Award for Gorham and, then, went on to win the Grand Award as best from 22 communities.
The office of Facilities Management on the Portland campus has now returned to it's home at 25 Bedford Street!

Effective Friday, April 13th, the 25 Bedford Street Facilities office will be moved temporarily to the Science Building. Daily business will be conducted out of room 161.
