Financial Aid Office

Financial Aid Overview

Here at the University of Southern Maine Office of Financial Aid, we help you find an affordable way to finance your USM education - one of the most important investments you can make.

More than 85 percent of USM's first time, full time students receive financial aid, with an average package of close to $13,500 for undergraduate full time students.  We offer nearly $5 million in scholarship support for incoming and current students, as well as grants, work-study programs, and educational loans, working with you to find the options best suited to your circumstances.

There are many elements to financial aid, and sometimes they can be confusing.  We aim to make understanding and applying for financial aid as easy as possible.
