The Franco-American Collection will be unveiliing its new space for the first time in a grand opening reception October 5th at 2pm. The Collection will be officially opened by the Hon. Michael H. Michaud, U.S. Congressman.
The ribbon-cutting will be followed by a reception with live music, food, and a book sale, with the opportunity for visitors to tour the Collection.
At 3pm, Professor Kristin Langellier of the University of Maine will be holding a public lecture, entitled "Mémère's Stories" on the importance of family narratives in the Franco-American community.
