2022 USM Juried Student Show
March 10 – April 2, 2022
The University of Southern Maine is pleased to announce its 2022 Juried Student Show! Open to students across all majors at the University, the Juried Student Exhibition fosters student preparation for professional art settings and processes, provides feedback from art professionals in the community, and exposes their work to a wide range of viewers.
With the show now officially up, we are excited to announce the winners of the Juried Student Exhibition. In order below:
1st place: Krystal Yavicoli, Raku Vase, 2021. Horse hair raku vase, 6 ½ high x 5 ½ wide x 3 in. deep.
2nd Place: Anna Maria Bruner, Book of Dionysus, 2022. Mixed Media on Paper, 3 in. long x 3 in. wide x ½ in. deep.
3rd Place: Madison MacDonald, Inside Information, 2021. Oil on wood panels, 6 x 12 in.
Honorable mention: Han Nguyen, Self-portrait, 2021. Oil on canvas, 18 x 24 in.
Honorable mention: Sharon Gerrish, Poppies, 2021. Stoneware, glaze, underglaze, iron-oxide wash, 20 ½ in. high x 8 in. wide x 8 in. deep.
Honorable mention: gloria steiger, Gaze, 2021. Oil on canvas, 42 x 48 in.
Thank you again to all the students who submitted and our amazing panel of independent jurors and donors who made this show possible. The exhibition will be up through April 2, so we hope you will have a chance to visit and see the prize winners for yourself!
