Judy Tizon

Emeritus Associate Professor of Anthropology

Judy TizonJudy received her Ph.D. at the University of California in Santa Barbara. She is a cultural anthropologist, having come to USM in 1972 from the Amazon rainforest where she study the changing lifeways of indigenous peoples. Judy taught courses on Amazonian and other native peoples, Introduction to Cultural Anthropology, the History of Anthropological Thought and the Anthropology of Sex and Gender.
