Welcome to GIS at the University of Southern Maine!

The goal of the Geographic Information Systems program at the University of Southern Maine is to support and expand the use of GIS and related technology by students, faculty, and staff throughout the University. We are also a resource for GIS users in the community.

Sam Merrill, Associate Research Professor & Director of the New England Environmental Finance Center, Muskie School of Public Service will speak on "Cost-benefit analysis and community engagement for adaptation to sea level rise and storm surge - a new GIS-based approach" for GIS Day on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. at 102 Wishcamper Center, USM Portland Campus.
We will be holding a Workshop on the use of NOAA's Habitat Priority Planner tool on Wednesday 4/25/2012 1:00-3:00.
