Benefits Fair

With Open Enrollment period fast approaching, USM is hosting a Get to Know Your Benefits Fair this fall!

 Please feel free to stop by as many sessions as your schedule allows, no prior registration is necessary.

 

Times and Locations- Schedule is the same for both dates:

Tuesday, November 7th in Brooks F&SP Dining Room Gorham campus

Wednesday, November 8th in Glickman 423 and 424 Portland campus

 

8:00am- 10:00am: CIGNA Open Enrollment, Definitions of HAS, etc. Opportunity for questions, Assistance with signing up or changing a benefits enrollment status in MaineStreet- Presenter: Tony Richards, Dir of Benefits UMS and the Employee Benefits Center team.

10:00am-10:30am: Get to know your insurance! Liberty Mutual presentation.

10:30am-11:00am: Ergonomic activities to be done at your desk, suggestions for an ergonomically safe workplace, workplace injury prevention- President: Randy Klatt from MEMIC.

11:30am-1:00pm: Professional and Classified Staff Senate Meet & Greet- Connect with members of the staff senates, learn about the missions of their organizations, how to join the senates, discuss their scholarship opportunities.

11:30am-1:00pm: Wellness Committee Meet & Greet- Learn about Recreational opportunities available on campus for free or minimal cost, pick up a USM water bottle and learn about what the wellness committee does on campus, how to volunteer to be a part of the committee.

11:30am-1:00pm: Free blood pressure checks & "Drop In" visits with the Health Coaching team from Trestle Tree. Stop by to enter into a raffle and pick up some giveways from Trestle Tree, our Health Coaching partners!

1:00pm-1:30pm: EyeMed Vision Benefits Presentation.

1:30pm-2:30pm: Navigating the Stress of Holiday Season in conjunction with Healthy Eating - Talk and resources by Lynn Bauer and Amanda from Trestle Tree 

2:30pm-3:00pm: Get to know your insurance! UNUM presentation.

3:00pm-4:30pm: CIGNA Open Enrollment, Definitions of HAS, etc. Opportunity for questions, Assistance with signing up or changing a benefits enrollment status in MaineStreet- Presenter: Tony Richards, Dir of Benefits UMS and the Employee Benefits Center team.

 

 

Important Benefits Dates to Know!

Open enrollment is in effect from November 1-19, 2017. Benefit changes must be made in MaineStreet no later than Sunday, November 19, 2017. Any changes entered will be effective on January 1, 2018. You must complete Level 2 by November 30, 2017 to receive credit For optimum reward for 2018, Level 1 should be completed between December 1, 2017 and April 30, 2018.   However Level 2 may be completed anytime through November 30, 2018 and the incentive will be awarded at the earliest possible date thereafter. If you have not completed Level 1 requirements by April 30, you will pay the non-incentive health premium. Newly enrolled employees have 90 days from the effective date of coverage (i.e. hire date) to complete Level 1 requirements to avoid an increase in premium.
