Emily Zider is the Coordinator of Education Abroad. She advises students interested in studying abroad on their program options and guides them through the application process. Emily also works with faculty to develop short-term travel courses.
Emily's experience in the field of international education began with a transformative study abroad semester in Rome. From there, she led groups of students on cultural immersion programs throughout Italy, managed a student-travel company based in Chicago, and taught second grade in Nashville, earning her ELL teaching certificate.
Now here in Portland, Emily is excited to collaborate with faculty, students, and global partners in facilitating life-changing experiences abroad for members of the USM community.
