  • Boren Awards: to promote study abroad & language acquisition in countries considered critical to US national security
    2020-2021 Award Cycle USM Deadline: January 10, 2020. National Deadlines: Scholarship - Friday, February 7, 2020. Fellowship - January 29, 2020.
  • Fulbright Grants for graduate-level study or research or English teaching assistantships
    2021-2022 competition information will be available in the spring of 2020.
  • Fulbright Summer Institutes in the UK for undergraduates 
  • Fund for Education Abroad offers a scholarship for students from New England, general scholarships for studying abroad four weeks or more, scholarships for study in Vietnam, and scholarships for LGBT students.
  • Gilman Scholarships for Pell Grant recipients. Preference is given to candidates studying outside of Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.
