The University of Southern Maine Office of International Programs promotes international education and understanding on campus in a variety of ways. In addition to coordinating support services for international and study away students, faculty exchange participants, and international visitors, the office serves as a resource to the University and as a liaison to the broader community. The experienced and knowledgeable staff members routinely seek opportunities to encourage international affiliations and experiences for USM students, faculty, and students.

USM Prayers for Nepal
USM Nepali student, Bikram Shrestha has been in Nepal assisting with the recovery efforts after his home country was devistated by a series of strong earthquakes. Keep track of his and others efforts to re-build the country on the "USM Prayers for Nepal" Facebook page.
You can also find the images of USM's Payer flag which Bikram carried to Nepal and has just recently hung at the Swayambhu Nath Temple (the monkey temple). The images are definately worth a look and if you can spare a few dollars we encourage you to make an online dotnation to assist with ongoing efforts to provide medical services, as well as shelter, food and water.
