Mary Anne Peabody is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Social and Behavioral Sciences program. She has over thirty years in community engagement work and has held multiple leadership roles across different contexts, including: non-profits, hospitals, private practice, K-12 school districts, higher education, and as a consultant. As a licensed clinical social worker, with her doctorate in Executive Leadership, she has been both an internship site supervisor and a clinical supervisor for many students in their field work placements. Additionally, she is a Clifton Strengthsfinder Coach and pairs this assessment with coaching opportunities across various venues. Nationally recognized for her service and scholarship in the field of play therapy, Mary Anne believes in a theory-to-practice approach, bringing together knowledge from academic content with workplace experiences.
