Professor Elizabeth Fisher Turesky teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in leadership, organizational change and group dynamics and other courses related to organizational behavior and development. “I facilitate my courses using non-traditional learning methods to integrate theory and practice. My goal is to connect my students’ personal and professional learning goals to the theories and concepts we study in class. They come away from my courses with greater knowledge about their own leadership in relation to the groups and organizations with which they work.”
An innovative educator and practitioner, Professor Turesky teaches courses in organizational behavior and development. She started an undergraduate certificate program in Lean Leadership at LAC and has been instrumental in the Leadership Study Abroad program. The program brings students to countries around the world, from Italy to Costa Rica to Australia, to better understand the challenges women leaders face as they strive for professional succes.
In addition to her thirty years of graduate and undergraduate teaching, Professor Turesky has spent twenty years in private practice as an Organizational Development consultant, including five years as Director of Training and Development for the City of Portland, Maine. She has led organizational change efforts, workshops and presented at conferences on Change Management, Group Dynamics, Conflict Management and Leadership throughout New England.
Women in leadership, with a focus on multicultural perspectives; leading organizational change and continuous improvement initiatives, engaged student learning and the nexus of experiential learning and leadership development.

She is a member of the National Training Laboratory (NTL), the International Leadership Association, the Academy of Management and the Organizational Behavior Teaching Society.
