Recording “Vault”

A small recording studio is available in the Glickman Learning Commons for low-tech audio and video recording. USM Faculty and students can make recordings to use in presentations, Blackboard, online classes, podcasts, and webinars. Equipment includes a video camera, microphones, lighting, curtain backdrop, Mac computer with a large screen all in a sound-proofed room for better recording acoustics. The computer is connected to the network. Software available includes Audacity, Adobe Creative Suite, Garage Band, and Sound Soap. Faculty and students can reserve the room by calling 780-4228 or stopping by the Learning Commons desk. Users are strongly encouraged to schedule an orientation session prior to using the vault or schedule their room use at a time when a technology tutor is available which can be found at AskOnLine.
