Join the Jean Byers Sampson Center for Diversity in Maine to learn about Maine’s Queer history through a selection of items from the LGBTQ+ Collection. Highlighting the communities’ challenges and achievements in Maine culture and politics from the 1970s to today, the display will include a timeline of Maine’s many LGBTQ+ newspapers, photographs by Annette Dragon, and artifacts used to maintain communications from Kittery to Fort Kent.
