I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Southern Maine in 2007 and my Master’s degree from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale in 2009. I am a Ph.D. candidate at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Currently, I am writing my dissertation titled “The ‘Perpetual Present’ of Political Modernity: Adorno, Arendt and the Possibility of the New.” My areas of interest include social and political philosophy, ethics, aesthetics, and continental philosophy (particularly critical theory). I am a member of the American Philosophical Association. My favorite philosopher is Theodor W. Adorno.
