Husky Line to Amtrak

From the Gorham or Portland campuses, take the Husky Line inbound toward downtown Portland. Get off at the Pulse stop or pull the line to get off anywhere on Congress Street, find the nearest METRO pick-up for the B-line and take the B-line outbound to Thomson’s Point and get off at the Portland Transportation Center. Amtrak boarding is at the Portland Transportation Center.

Environmental Benefits

Taking the train rather than driving a single occupancy vehicle can result in nine times less greenhouse gas emissions. Every pound of greenhouse gases reduced helps USM toward its goal to reduce transportation emissions by 20% by the year 2025.
