A native of Maine, Christine teaches courses in piano pedagogy at the USM School of Music in Gorham. She also maintains an independent piano studio for pre-college age piano students in Falmouth called Piano Learning Center. Christine holds a bachelor of arts degree in piano performance and business from Plymouth State College (now Plymouth State University) in Plymouth, New Hampshire where she studied piano and piano pedagogy with Dr. Carleen Graff. She received a masters degree in piano pedagogy from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas studying piano with Dr. David Karp and piano pedagogy with the late Louise Bianchi.

A national winner of the D. H. Baldwin Teaching Fellowship Award recognizing excellence in piano teaching, Christine is an active member of the Maine Music Teachers Association (MMTA) having served in a variety of positions throughout her career. She is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM) by the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and most recently served MTNA on the national level as the Certification Commissioner for Eastern Division.

Her piano teaching experience spans 30 years and includes working with beginning, intermediate and advanced level piano students of all ages in both private and group settings. She has coached several students to success in competitive events in both Maine and New Hampshire and, is frequently asked to adjudicate piano events and present topics in piano pedagogy to piano teachers in New England and Florida. Several of her former piano students have continued their piano study beyond high school and have achieved professional success in piano and piano pedagogy.
