Custom Home Theater (Brunswick, ME) and Transparent Audio (Saco, ME) have assembled an audio system that can bring a degree of musical realism into the home that you never thought possible.  It features NAD components that support a variety of formats and media, including your computer, internet radio, iPod, high resolution files, and an optional CD player.  Full frequency range floor standing PSB speakers deliver detailed, warm sound with commanding bass for all genres of music.  Transparent is providing the audio cables and power conditioning for the system so that every component works together in perfect harmony.

Craig Cooper, president of Rainbow Construction, a longtime supporter of the USM School of Music, donates a custom-built wine rack, made from red cedar and birch, customized to the purchaser’s specifications, which will hold up to 120 bottles of wine.

This is a perfect item to bid on with a group…or plan your own soiree and invite your friends.

Take your mouth down south with hors d’oeuvres and a main course from Hot Suppa to create your dinner for up to 20 guests!   Coordinate with  “Hot Suppa!” on Congress Street where you will plan your date and time for pickup of appetizers and Cajun Jambalaya made with Chicken, Smoked Sausage, Tasso and Cajun Rice.

This soiree will feature traditional New Orleans jazz music provided by the USM Jazz performers, directed by Dr. Christopher Oberholtzer, director of Jazz Studies.  Coordinate your preferred date with Dr. Oberholtzer, Hot Suppa! and the server that will come to your home for three hours to help heat, serve and clean up.

Ed Reichert will coordinate this musical theater review, which will feature our very talented and animated musical theater students.  Be prepared for an evening of musical excellence and creative energy.  Our animated musical theater majors will have you dancing in your seats!  It would be best for the home where this soiree is to take place to have a piano.

The Menu
Your dining experience for Twelve from the Buttered Biscuit, 347 Cottage Road, South Portland, ME, will include:

Here is how it works.  You and owner, Audrey Castro, will create your perfect menu. You will arrange for pickup of your delicious, takeout gourmet cuisine, ready to heat and serve.

This soiree package includes a server for three hours to assist with preparation, serving and clean up.  The winning bidder will coordinate the date of this soiree with Scott Harris, the director of the USM School of Music,  Ed Reichert, Faculty/Musical Theater Vocal Coach in the School of Music and Ms. Castro of The Buttered Biscuit.

CVC Catering Group has won the Dine Around The World "Taste Bud Award" for best appetizer so look forward to experiencing a beautiful array of delicious hors d’oeuvres.

Be a guest at your own celebration. Let Chef and Owner Nancy Cerny guide you in planning your evening for twenty. Invite your friends for a delicious, bounteous and beautifully presented hors d’oeuvres reception.  Also included will be wine, beer and other beverages, followed by dessert and coffee.

The Music – The Portland Wind Trio
Comprised of Ardith Keef, bassoon, Thomas Parchman, clarinet, and Alison Hale, flute, the Portland Wind Trio has been performing together for several decades. Ardith Keef is principal bassoonist of the Maine Chamber Ensemble, a member of the Portland Symphony Orchestra, the bassoonist of the Maine Baroque Ensemble, the bassoonist of the Issac Ensemble of Boston, and associate professor of bassoon at the University of Southern Maine School of Music. Thomas Parchman, clarinetist, came to Maine in 1984 as a result of a joint search between the University of Southern Maine and the Portland Symphony Orchestra. He is an associate professor at USM School of Music, and has been the Principal Clarinetist with the PSO since his arrival. Alison Hale plays flute and piccolo, and has been a member of the Portland Symphony Orchestra since 1977.

In A Class of Her Own
Ashley graced the halls of Corthell for four years and, after graduation from the USM School of Music in 2006, moved directly on to the prestigious Lindemann Young Artists program with the New York Metropolitan Opera Company where she is now a MET vocalist.

Ashley Emerson '06This opera package features two fine seats to the 7:30 p.m. MET production of Le Comte Ory in which Ashley will perform.  Ashley will direct a personal post-performance backstage tour to the patrons that purchase this package. Thank you Ashley and Bravo!
