USM artist faculty cellist William Rounds and pianist Sayuri Miyamoto will perform a concert of Brahms, Kodaly, and others this fall at the USM School of Music in Gorham.
Rounds is a member of the Portland Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, and plays frequently with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. He has performed around the United States as well as Europe and Asia, appearing as a soloist with orchestra, in recital, as a chamber musician, and as a touring musician with a variety of popular artists. He has played on numerous movie soundtracks and has taught students at various levels.
Now, he graces the Corthell Concert Hall stage with the remarkably deep, warm and expressive tones of the instrument in the hands of a master.
Tickets are $15 for the general public, $10 for seniors and USM employees and alumni, and $5 for students. Make reservations online at www.usm.maine.edu/music/boxoffice, or call the USM Music Box Office at (207) 780-5555.
