9th annual Patient Safety Academy

The 9th annual Patient Safety Academy is open to anyone interested or engaged in patient safety activities. The Academy takes place Monday September 17 in the Glickman Library, 7th floor Events Room.  Join colleagues and meet new friends in this day-long interdisciplinary event.

Workshops will provide interactive and hands-on skill-building lessons in the areas of infection prevention, patient safety culture, lean management and team building, end-of-life conversations, and much more!  Cost is just $30, with a discounted price of $20 for students. Click here for the link to register online. Workshops are led by state and regional healthcare experts, and will include topics of lean organizations, adverse events as decision side effects, updates on Health Acquired Infections, post-discharge medication coordination, end-of-life conversations for providers, and a quality improvement simulation game! The plenary speaker will empower you to become more resilient in your workplace and life. Celebrate with us as we present Rising Tide Awards to individuals/organizations that advance patient safety within Maine through their leadership, dedication, and innovation. Questions?  Contact Karen (karen.pearson@maine.edu)  or Judy Tupper (judy.tupper@maine.edu)
