Join us for a research presentation and discussion on "Chronic Pain and Public Health" by Dr. Þorbjörg Jónsdóttir. Dr. Jónsdóttir is Professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Akureyri, Iceland. She holds a B.S. in Nursing from the University of Iceland, a M.S. in Pain Management from the College of Medicine, University of Wales and a Ph.D. in Nursing from the University of Iceland. She will share her research on chronic pain, its effect on quality of life and pain related health care utilization. Dr. Jónsdóttir will also discuss her present and future research on how to improve health care for people with chronic pain and other chronic conditions by telehealth.
