The Muskie School graduated another class of over seventy students from its various degree and certificate programs. The Muskie School graduation event included an afternoon of celebration and recognition of our outstanding students and their achievements.
McDonnell writes in Press Herald about need for education in workforce development
Joseph McDonnell of USM’s Muskie School of Public Service says increased higher education — with less student debt and more internships and apprenticeships — will help Maine prepare for a forecast smaller workforce. The advice came in an op-ed column titled “Maine’s workforce challenges call for bold public strategies” and published in the Portland Press Herald.

Katie Tomer, a Native American, has worked for three years with Maine-Wabanaki REACH to go into the state’s prisons. She has facilitated healing circles for over 60 inmates.
