Strategies for success in local government

The Muskie School and Cutler Institute just completed the second webinar in the series: Strategies for Success in Local Government. 

This lunchtime webinar series offers strategic approaches to challenges that local and regional governments are facing in Maine. The series is specifically designed for Municipal Managers, County Managers, elected County Commissioners, elected Municipal Officials, and Planning Directors, Councils of Government, as well as students.The series is co-developed with the Maine Town, City, and County Management Association and the Maine Municipal Assocition.

In this first webinar on Data Driven Decision Making four applied data experts joined us to explore practical applications for how local government can utilize data for making important policy decisions regarding housing, economic development, and planning.

We just completed a second successful webinar on Supporting Aging Communities in Maine. A panel of experts discussed the priorities and needs of older people in Maine communities, and how towns and municipalities can more effectively serve this population.
