Tourism Fundraising event

The Muskie School's Tourism and Hospitality program, AAA Northern New England, and Royal Caribbean International hosted a unique fund raising event to support travel scholarships for students of the Tourism and Hospitality program on the Anthem of the Seas cruise ship docked in Portland harbor on Sunday, September 17. Dr. Tracy Michaud, chair of the Tourism and Hospitality program, Eric Baxter, chair of the Advisory Board for the program and member of the Muskie School's Board of Visitors, collaborated with partners from Royal Caribbean International to host over 100 people from across Maine for an inside tour of the Anthem of the Seas and a fund raising lunch. All the money raised ($6,000) will support Tourism and Hospitality students at USM.
