NPR interviews Amy Johnson of USM's Center for Education Policy, Applied Research and Evaluation

Amy Johnson

Amy Johnson, the assistant director of USM's Center for Education Policy, Applied Research and Evaluation, was interviewed for a National Public Radio story about Maine's laptop program.

The radio program questioned the 17-year-old program's effectiveness since test scores in Maine schools have remained relatively unchanged.

"The fact that we're not seeing large-scale increases in student learning leads us to suspect we still need to do some work with helping schools and teachers understand and keep up with the best ways to use technology for student learning," Johnson said.
