Dr. Carol Fackler joined the University of Southern Maine (USM) nursing faculty in 2010, after completing her doctoral education in Connecticut, and following a long career in emergency nursing practice in the Boston area. Dr. Fackler teaches research in the undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as courses in population health, nursing leadership, and health care informatics. Dr. Fackler’s research is focused in the areas of the nursing workforce, and health informatics. Dr. Fackler also serves as a consultant in nursing research and evidence-based practice at MidCoast Hospital in Brunswick, Maine.
