Graduate Nursing Programs

The University of Southern Maine (USM) School of Nursing is educating the next generation of highly skilled, compassionate leaders in nursing. If you're ready to progress your nursing career, our graduate programs will take you to the next level.

Our graduate programs advance the practice of nursing by ensuring that our students acquire the ability to analyze, synthesize, and utilize evidence-based knowledge in their nursing practice. Graduate students engage in scholarly inquiry through interprofessional collaboration, using research, quality improvement methods, and contemporary technology.

Our faculty members represent a broad spectrum of nursing specialty areas. In addition to serving as board members of state and national nursing associations, they are frequently published in leading nursing journals. Along with a commitment to facilitating progress toward national health goals and initiatives, they are active in research and policy issues at the state level.
