Suzanne Parkman, PhD, RN, CNE received her BSN from the University of Southern Maine, her MS from Texas Woman’s University and her PhD at the University of Texas, College of Nursing. She has over 35 years of experience as nursing faculty, a clinical nurse educator, and medical-surgical nursing in various locations nationally and internationally. Dr. Parkman teaches research in the graduate and undergraduate program, as well as courses in population health, gerontology, nursing leadership, and international nursing. Her research is focused on dementia and neuropsychiatric behaviors, pain management, as well as the caregiver experience for this population. She has conducted qualitative and quantitative research studies, has several publications, and has presented both regionally and nationally. Dr. Parkman’s passions and areas of expertise are nursing research, evidence-based practice, international ethics, research translation, and mentoring.
