Park free for 8 hours in our garage on Surrenden Street. Then, check in at our Admissions Welcome Center in the attached Abromson Community Education Center building.

After you check in, head across the street to our new McGoldrick Center for ice-breakers with music, trivia, games, prizes, conversation, and light refreshments.

9:00 – 9:30 AM: Welcome

Remain in the McGoldrick Center for a brief welcome from:

  • Nicole Young from our Office of Admissions
  • Dr. Georita Frierson, our Provost
  • Rodney Mondor, our Dean of Students
  • Our student ambassadors
9:45 – 10:30 AM: Meet your major

Faculty from each highlighted major (listed in the accordion above this one) will meet you in their respective spaces around our Portland campus. The list of spaces will be ready when you arrive.

If you haven’t decided on a major yet, we’ll have a space for you, too!

10:45 – 11:45 AM: Activity split

Students will meet back in the McGoldrick Center to learn about life as a USM Husky — and for some trivia.

Parents and family members will gather in Hannaford Hall in the Abromson Community Education Center building for an informational panel discussion.

Key staff members will represent the following departments:

11:45 AM – 1:00 PM: Lunch

Everyone reunites in the McGoldrick Center dining hall for lunch.

12:00 – 1:30 PM: Campus and student resource fair

  • Student Engagement & Leadership
  • University Counseling Services
  • University Health Services

1:00 PM: Attend a mock class

Preview the college classroom experience in our Science Building lecture hall.

1:00 PM, 1:30 PM, or 2:00 PM: Portland campus tours

Choose from 3 half-hour options for a walking tour of our Portland campus led by one of our student ambassadors.

All tours will depart from the McGoldrick Center entrance.

2:15 PM or 2:45 PM: Gorham campus tours

Extend your USM visit! Try out the METRO Husky Line bus service, or take a short 11-mile drive to our Gorham campus.

Choose from 2 half-hour options for a walking tour with one of our student ambassadors.

All tours will depart from the Admissions Welcome Center in Bailey Hall.

Once you park, look for a PAY HERE sign with a QR code.

You don't need to download the HonkMobile app. However, push notifications related to your parking session are only available through the app.

If you choose to add more time to your session, you’ll need to pay our standard fees.

If you can't find a PAY HERE sign, we have QR codes you can scan at our Welcome Centers on both the Gorham and Portland campuses.

Our signs have a section that reads, "No free parking at any time" without validation. As an Admissions guest, we have a promo code to validate (waive) your parking fees during your campus visit.

Omit any spaces, dots, dashes, hearts, stars, handprints, etc.
