Overview

The Office of Marketing and Brand Management at the University of Southern Maine (USM) is responsible for driving inquiries and applications for each audience segment. We consistently apply a strategic approach to each of our marketing outreach efforts: Recruitment Advertising, Marketing Data Analytics, Website Content Development, Email Marketing, and Print Marketing. In parallel, we maintain a strong focus on appropriately messaging each segment to support our brand and promote our Undergraduate and Graduate degrees and certificates, and supporting services such as financial aid, scholarships, advising, and residential life.

We pride ourselves on our collective marketing knowledge, skill-sets, and experiences, sharpened by many years of marketing in the private sector, to benefit University recruitment goals.

To help our university colleagues with internal-focused marketing projects, we have developed the following tools: the USM Brand Book (or Style Guide), USM logos, our print design template system, the photo library (or image bank) — with approved images for print and web use — and branded university templates for download.
