NBCOT Pass Rate

Upon graduation, students are eligible to sit for the national certification exam that is administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). In addition, most states require licensure in order to practice occupational therapy; however state licenses are usually based on the results of the national certification exam. A felony conviction may affect a graduate’s ability to sit for the certification exam or to attain state licensure.

Graduation Rate

The total number of graduates from the University Of Southern Maine’s Master of Occupational Therapy program during the 3-year period of 2015-2017 (cohorts entering into the OT program between 2012-2015) was 101, with an overall graduation rate of 86%.
