Occupational Therapy Program

Master of Occupational Therapy Program

USM's Lewiston-Auburn College offers an entry-level Master of Occupational Therapy Program for students who have an undergraduate degree in any field.

The Master of Occupational Therapy program takes an integrative and holistic approach in educating students to become Occupational Therapists. Graduates of this program will be prepared to succeed in the health and community care contexts as ethical, socially responsible, life-long learners.

Priority filing deadline for all components of an application (or a re-application) must be received by October 1st for admittance the following fall. Applications received after October 1st will be reviewed at the discretion of the program faculty.

***Due to the high number of applications received by the priority filing deadling, the application cycle for the 2017 cohort is now closed and faculty have begun reviewing applications. Students whose application packets are incomplete (i.e. missing a required item) but had their application submitted prior to the October 1st deadline will be given a reasonable amount of additional time for the remaining materials to be received.***

The University of Southern Maine offers a MOT 4+1 Accelerated Pathway for those currently enrolled in one of three specific USM bachelor degree programs, as well as Return to Practice courses for OT practioners who wish to refresh their skills when preparing to return to the OT profession after an extended absence.
