Explore ways to support students during informal discussions about their plans after high school in this interactive workshop. Participants will analyze and practice strategies to have meaningful conversations with students about their postsecondary aspirations. These strategies will support a school-wide comprehensive guidance program. Topics to be covered include how to have post-secondary conversations with students, resources that inform these conversations and how to support students in their short and long-term aspirations exploration. The intended audience for this Forum is teachers, education technicians and other school staff who serve students in grades 5-12.

Educator Forums are professional development events for educators of similar positions or responsibilities to explore new or best practices in their field. Forums provide an opportunity for educators to engage with peers, build new understandings from prior knowledge, and reflect on past practices.
