Educator Forum: Social Emotional Learning in the Classroom

Explore the relationship between social and emotional wellness and academic achievement in this interactive workshop. We will work together to examine our classroom practice and explore ways we can integrate this important work into our districts, schools and/or classrooms. Topics to be covered include trauma-informed instruction, Restorative Justice, embedding SEL into existing curriculum, self-care for teachers, and school-wide approaches to SEL. The intended audience for this Forum is teachers and education technicians serving students grades K-8.

Educator Forums are professional development events for educators of similar positions or responsibilities to explore new or best practices in their field. Forums provide an opportunity for educators to engage with peers, build new understandings from prior knowledge, and reflect on past practices.
