Maine Montessori Institute is now accepting applications for its second cycle of the Master’s of Science in Education in Teaching and Learning, with a concentration in Montessori Early Childhood. This program is offered at The Winfield Children’s House in Falmouth, Maine in collaboration with the University of Southern Maine.
This program will be incorporated with the Maine Montessori Institute’s teacher training program, also earning the prospective student an AMS Teaching Credential for Montessori Early Childhood.
Candidates will also be able to submit their transcript to the State of Maine Department of Education, for application for the Early Childhood Teacher Credential, 081.
The program of study will follow a two year cycle beginning August 2013 and ending with final testing June 2015. During the first year the student will attend an Overview Course with a Special Education component and complete the Independent Study requirements for Montessori Philosophy, Observation and Child Development. The second year will focus on the Academic Phase course work and requirements and Practicum/Internship hours.
On June 27ththe Maine Montessori Institute will be hosting an Open House from 4:00-5:30 at Winfield Children’s House in Falmouth, Maine. Plan to stop by and learn more about earning your Early Childhood Montessori Training and a Master’s Degree in Teaching and Learning from the University of Southern Maine.
