Week # 8:   Constellations of Spring/Summer
Wednesday, March 21, 2018 10:30 a.m. - noon

Now that spring is almost ready to begin, we focus on the constellations of the spring and summer.     Ursa Major and Ursa Minor continue to play in the north as the fearsome Hydra slithers up in the east.  Wait awhile and you'll see the grand Summer Triangle rising around midnight trailed by Scorpius the Scorpion and Sagittarius the Archer.      As the skies warm and the nights shorten, we spend two hours exploring the spring and summer skies.   Students will receive a sky map and a night sky glossary
