ASTRONOMY A LA CARTE:    Remote Courses   Fall 2020

Astronomy a la Carte returns to the Southworth Planetarium.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the fall session of Astronomy a la Carte will be conducted on Zoom.

We will offer a session at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday and 7:00 p.m. session on Wednesday. 

The classes will consist of a lecture, a power point presentation and will conclude with a stellarium night sky tour.

The cost will be $10 for each session.

Our apologies.  Due to unforeseen circumstances, this week we have had to cancel the Wednesday evening "Space Weather" session.  We will still offer the Thursday morning session

7:00 - 8:30 p.m.

They are the building blocks of the Universe.  Our home galaxy, the Milky Way, is but one of hundreds of billions of galaxies in the cosmos.   What is our galaxy's structure?  How do they differ from other galaxies?     We'll learn more about the Local Group, the cluster of galaxies containing the Milky Way and  the other super clusters.
