MPBN’s “Maine Calling” to Feature CAHS’s Ron Schmidt as Guest Panelist

MPBN’s “Maine Calling” radio show will broadcast live 12 noon-1 p.m. Thursday, July 24, from the Cumberland Club in Portland on the topic, “Your Vote 2014 Maine Campaign Update.”

The live, call-in radio show will preview this fall's gubernatorial, senate and two U.S. House races. The panel discussion will be moderated by Keith Shortall, MPBN's director of News & Public Affairs.

On the panel will be:

  • Ron Schmidt, USM Associate Professor of Political Science;
  • Susan Dench, founder and president of the Informed Women’s Network and a weekly columnist for the Bangor Daily News;
  • and, Mike Cuzzi, former campaign aide to President Obama, Secretary of State John Kerry and former U.S. Rep. Tom Allen. He manages the Portland office of VOX Global.

This is the first time that “Maine Calling” is broadcasting from a non-studio venue. Questions will be taken from the audience as well as from callers and social media. LIMITED, FREE TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE!
