Elizabeth Wilson, a history and political science double major from Lewiston, Maine, was selected as the 2016-2017 Maine Policy Scholar from USM. Funded by the Maine Community Foundation, each of the University of Maine System’s seven campuses select a Maine Policy Scholar.

UN Flags

The Maine Model United Nations Program hosts an annual conference where college and high school students participate in a simulation of United Nations procedures and enables students to practice organization, debate, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.  The MeMUNC Conference is fun, challenging, and provides a hands-on experience in the workings of world diplomacy while researching and analyzing current events.  If you are interested in getting involved either as an individual or group please contact the Department of History and Political Science at 780-4283.

Political Science Senior Projects

Megean Bourgeois interviews Tristan Smaldone about his involvement with a student symposium where he presented his senior thesis.  Bourgeois discusses her involvement with Thinking Matters.  Smaldone and Bourgeois are both graduating Political Science majors.
