As part of its continuous improvement journey, Central Maine Healthcare sent a number of managers to USM to receive Green Belt training.  This education supplemented a required training course on the Central Maine Operating System based on lean tools and techniques.  Attendees of the green belt training were able to apply the additional concepts to the improvement work they do at the hospital.  To date they have improved processes resulting in improved patient care and improved flow and efficiency in their various departments across the hospital.”
