Netty Provost, Professional Staff Senate Chair
Netty currently serves as the Coordinator of Undergraduate Nursing Education at USM, and as the Chair of the Professional Staff Senate. She also teaches biomedical ethics as an EYE in the Honors Program at USM.
Previously, Netty worked as an Academic Advisor for Nursing at USM and spent a number of years as a faculty member in Philosophy, Honors Program Director, and Master of Arts in Liberal Studies Director at Indiana University Kokomo.
Originally from Maine, Netty earned both a Ph.D. and a M.A. in Philosophy from Purdue University and received her B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Maine. Her teaching and research specializations are in ethics, Eastern philosophy, phenomenology, existentialism, and scholarship of teaching and learning. She is also passionate about assessment in higher education and working with diverse student populations to support their academic goals and success.
